Christmas Child (OCC)- December Contribution

This is just an update about our Sencillo Media initiative - Simple Hands. As promised every month for every order we completed we will donate $1(AUD) to a charitable cause or activity.

Last month, we donated 2 400 ZAR (207 AUD) to the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG).

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group is an organization that provides assistance for people who are suffering from mental illness. They help people throughout South Africa and they are also leading the way in educating people about mental health. They are working tirelessly to destigmatise mental illness and advocating for the individuals.

This month, we will be doing Operation Christmas Child (OCC). Operation Christmas Child is the Brainchild of Samaritan’s Purse which aims to cater to the needs of children around the world.

It is a hands-on way for Australians and New Zealanders to bless kids by filling shoeboxes with toys, grooming products, school supplies, and other enjoyable presents. The Samaritan’s Purse collects the gift-filled shoeboxes and distributes them to children in over 100 poverty stricken countries.

We will be filling up for 4 boxes and send it to 2 females and 2 males between the age of 10 to 14 (Total cost would be roughly $210~250). They’ll be filled with tools for creativity, education and motivation, and a toy :)

We finally filled up 4 boxes and we are so happy! Inside the box are things such as;
-handball
-notebook
-pens
-earphones
-calculator
-cases

We chose them as the kids are entering an age where they have to think about their future, and we hope to at least give them the option to explore their creativity.

Once again, thank you so much. Without you, this is not possible.
 We want to tell you that by using our service your contribution is going somewhere that could change someone’s life and you are a part of it.

Again, thank you sooo much. We hope you are having a happy holiday or if you are going through tough times. Hang on, stay strong!
